make this short as I can guys.I use tape in the thumb hole (front) It's been causeing a little pain my ring finger lately.Without it my ball speed is down a bit but I can hook from deep better. The hole isn't so wide I can throw the ball but it's enough that knowthat I can't get everything on it without the tape.Any thoughts are welcomed thx (just trying not to redrill)

Actually by placing the tape in the front of the thumb hole , you are increasing the length of the hand span . This is possible one reason you are experiencing the pain in your ring finger. Like pains said, try placing the tape in the back of the thumb hole.

How much tape are you using ????
If your using so much that its changing the span, your also changing the pitch. Either way, it shouldn't cause pain in the finger. I would guess that the change in grip from the tape is changing your release. That could definitely cause finger soreness
