I have been using Lane Master cleaner at the lanes to clean my Beat-n and XS Power.
When I got my Bite I ordered some Energizer to use on the spinner.
Does anyone go over the ball with straight water after the cleaner? I got the impression the ball skidded too much when I just used the Energizer. (Or is it just my imagination)
The pro shop I got my first balls told me to use water after the Clean and Dull, and it does seem to make a difference.
thanks
Rick

Are you using the regular Energizer cleaner or the one with the citrus in it. I prefer the regular Energizer ball cleaner without the citrus. The citrus seems to leave a film on the ball where as the other just leaves it tacky. I haven't noticed any skidding after using the regular cleaner.
I always do a water step after using any cleaner. It just makes sense to my brain...lol

Energizer cleaner does add some shine to the ball. Would it be useful, it rinse away some of the residue. Might be worth a try.
Power House does makes some very good cleaner, as well as other companies. Personally I'm against anything that contains acetone. But that is probably a personal thing, as there are several approved cleaners that contain acetone.
When I clean polished stuff I like Energizer, kind of a cleaner and surface maintenence product. (Thats my personal opinion.)
Cleaning Dull stuff, I have Clean and Dull and Power Wash. Both work well.
I use all of the cleaners on my spinner as well. One thing I have done is marked towels PW and E for those cleaners, they are not used for anything but cleaning with that product.
I keep a Roll of Blue Shop Towels, Regular Paper Towels, a few random Microfiber Towels.

Thought they both where cirtus based cleaner. There is only two of them right the Spray and Foam.
Have you used the new foam? If so how does it work?

You know I agree, especially if you want to sand afterwards. You really have to rinse out the pad afterwards.

You'd better be since using acetone in any form is highly illegal.
Bubba converted me over to straight alcohol and it works like a charm. Can't beat the price either. $2.68 at Wal-Mart for a bottle that lasts me two months and that's when I'm rolling in three leagues and practicing one other day of the week.

I know Storm sells a cleaner that is Approved, that contains Acetone.
Believe this is the Product.

There are proshops around here that actually try to get people to use an acetone/alcohol cleaner mix...
I remember one shop around here, I went to do a surface change there, and they tried to use acetone on my ball and I freaked out and stopped them.
Reacta Clean has ethyl alcohol for sure, dont remember if there is acetone in it, I'd have to find a bottle and look to see if its on there...

Sure smells like acetone, but either one is illegal.

I used alcohol in the past alot, but it still works pretty good.
Might try some of the Energizer Foam to see what I think.
