I used to wear a wrist band and now I dont and without the wrist band I can see the difference in rev's. I dont want to go back to the wrist band what can I do to increase my rev's?

Increase your wrist strength, it is key in getting revs, so just do some exercises for wrist strength and then consult us.

Hold up Sparky, not so fast. A glove will increase revs, you know. I know you didn't like the wrist band, but have you given a Mongoose a look at??? I know some guys who would let you drive off with thier wives, but fight to the death if you tried to take those things away from them. They're that good. Some of the guys on here use the Mongoose, ask them.

I try to stay away from those people, it might rub off.
J/K, But rev's really dont mean everything, nice to have but sometimes its a disadvantage.
Knowing how to work with what you have is what makes a bowler a good bowler.

Its an advantage on patterns like the cheetah though and you can play out on the track area straight down on a THS, where I have to use that as a breakpoint. So in some ways its an advantage as long as you know how to use it, dont worry about what other people have that you dont though, just work with what ya got.

isnt that a good thing?
yes i admit it... i have more revs then a couple of 2 handed bowlers... but does it matter? what matters is if and how the pins fall down the back...

 Are you saying you have more revs than me??
But seriously hes right, as long as all 10 are in the pit after the ball goes down the lane thats all that matters, doesnt matter how you get it there as long as they all go down.
LOL actually had a funny moment last night involves revs. was bowling in a NT tournament and at the end they make you throw a house ball for a jackpot, threw the ball down 10 and into the pocket and had like 5 guys behind me go OMG you just made that ball hook, how did you do that?, was like uhhh and just walked away lol, also left a nice solid 5-7 on that ball. (stupid plastic):D

those plastic balls with pancake cores will definitelty move back to the pocket throwing it down 10. i used to do it all time and averaged 205 doing it. shot a few 298s and won 4 tournaments doing it :D

When were out for fun bowling , my son will take his ebonite peacock stand on 39 , pitch it out between the 15 and 20 with two hands, it hits the "bumper" dry 3 board and takes out the 7 pin. we all get a kick out of it...

well on cheetah i have to be out of 5, im not as low as 25 lol. on the old cheetah i could to 5-2 and back. but that was easy due to where i was playing. i am probably the straightest on house shots out of all the more competitive players around here. i know one thing, i wish i had a tad more though, i dont throw pins at all really.

I don't either. I throw bowling balls.:)
From the information that Bubba posted from the USBC, the updated patterns have not been released to PBAX leagues. Unless your center hosted a regional this summer, your cheetah is still the old cheetah.

Either that or they just made the pattern longer... and it's probably not the new Cheetah.
Lets think about one. Is the PBA gonna give the changes to the USBC or are they gonna take a couple of month and finalize them make sure the have everything correct first? Guess that's a loaded question. I know I'd rather have the correct new pattern than a guess at what it's gonna be.
Sure my Cheetah here is not the same as other one's... but it's the best I can get without paying $275 to bowl a Regional Event.

The PBA has tweaked the "animal" patterns in the past, but these are the most significant changes to date. For example, the Scorpion pattern (which went from 41 to 42 feet last year) will now be flatter, with more oil to the outside to promote deeper angles of attack. Cheetah’s pattern shape is also being modified. According to Eoff, better shot making may be required to take advantage of the outside line on Cheetah. Some players may have to move farther right with their feet or play straighter in order to achieve a favorable reaction.
The new patterns were first used at the PBA Tour Trials in May, and have been used at PBA regional tournaments this summer. The pattern changes have led to a lower scoring pace in some of the regional tournaments. While a lower scoring pace is usually applauded by regional pros, some were caught off guard.
The USBC and the PBA have been working together to finalize the modifications and make the new patterns available to PBA Experience league officers in time for the start of the fall season. At the same time, the USBC is working quickly to update the tip sheets and videos that provide pattern details and lane play strategies.

The Patterns provided from PBA to USBC are under lock and key. They will provide passwords to the files, to the Centers. Believe they give you one pattern once you can prove you got it and they certify the Center, then you get the password. (Something like that anyway.)
We just get pictures!

This also involves dollars! (And we all know how cheap some centers can be.) In talking to one of the center managers here, that's why they are leaning more towards the patterns Kegel provides. It's cheaper and easier for them to do.
