View Full Version : Ebonite Demo Days
Hi all,
There will soon to have an Ebonite Demo Day in late September around my area. For those who have attended before, I got some questions:
1, Is reservation necessary?
2, Do they charge a fee of some sort?
3, I read that they will have balls for test, do they come in different weight / span / drilling?
4, I supposed they are there to promo new balls, will there be some discount?
5, Do I need to bring my own equipment to there as well? (other than shoes, I suppose)
6, Anything that I should know before I go?
Thanks all,
:D

1) Reservation is necessary especially if you want to have any type of choice of which squad you bowl on
2) They do charge a fee, usually from what I've seen/been too its usually around 20$ for the hour or so of bowling.
3) They are usually all 15/16 lbs, all the spans are different, they will definately have your span if its between 4 and 5 inches. The drillings are usually basic drilling, the couple that I threw were all stacked leverage drills.
4) There is a discount on ball prices at these demo days, the pro shop usually makes up how much of a discount they will give.
5)Bring the ball your most comfortable throwing and which ball feels the best on your hand, and bring your shoes and anything else you need to bowl.
6) Just go and have fun, everyone will help you with whatever they feel you need help with in your game, mingle with the pros there and the reps and you will pick up a lot of info at these days, and it will show you what you need to work on with your game. It will also let you try all these balls out and see which one best fits you without having to buy them which is awesome.
Also where is this at?, We are having a Hammer demo days by us in late September too.
It's in Southern California (Norwalk) on 9/28.
I just find the info on Ebonite.com. Will all 4 brands (Ebonite, Hammer, Columbia, Track) all have their own different Demo Days?
Thanks,

The Ebonite demo days I was at, had Ebonte, Hammer, and Columbia but no Track, yours could be different as a lot of them have all 4. The next one Im going to in PA is supposed to be strictly Hammer.

1. Depends on your area...we didn't require(nor was it required) a reservation.
2. Ours was free for league bowlers at our house. Others had to pay $10.
3. Been thoroughly covered.
4. Deals are offered that day and usually ONLY that day. It can vary.
It was fun and interesting. We had a good turnout. We laid out the house shot and two PBA patterns. Most people loved the Raid and Complete NV. Anyway, just be patient if the ball you want to try is being used.

1. That's up to your house.
2. See 1.
3. Yes.
4. Yes,that day only,usually. Bring cash.:)
5. Yes. Particularly if you want to buy a new ball and want them to measure off an old ball for your hand. Plus I've seen a Pro look at a ball and go,"Y'know,if you did this over here this ball would do so much more....."
6. Have fun and don't try shots you have no business making. You're looking for help with your game, not trying to impress anyone. Attempting high rev shots when you don't have any just makes you look dumb. And you ain't gonna fool anyone, they've seen it all before.
