Nice first 2 games navi. But do you think since you got the ticket to throw a strike you might have had it on your mind you need a strike ? Good bowling and get that strike when the winter league starts.

USBC '08-'09 Rulebook Rule 100i, A league that starts after March 15th and before August 1st is a summer league.

Our season starts in August and runs through may and/or June. The leagues are typically 36 weeks long, with 3 weeks off during the season for holidays. They will end either in May or June. These are winter leagues.

The short leagues that run during June,July and August are summer leagues.

No sh*t,Sherlock. I do know what the "US" in USBC stands for. He asked what the difference was between a summer and winter league. I gave him the official definition.

I don't know even if the USBC knows what a summer and winter league is. on our summer league which is sanctioned BTW, the people who joined that were not sanctioned before and filled out USBC sanction cards , recieved theirs in the mail that are 2008-2009 sanction cards. Now this league runs from May through August and is classified as a summer leage. Why did the USBC send out 2008-2009 cards then. Hmmm makes me wonder.

Curaçao is the largest and most populous of the three so-called ABC islands (for Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao) of the Lesser Antilles, specifically the Leeward Antilles. It has a land area of 171 square miles. At the 2001 Netherlands Antilles census, the population was 130,627 inhabitants; in 2004 the population was estimated at 133,644. Curaçao lies outside the hurricane belt, but can still occasionally be impacted by hurricanes, such as Hurricane Felix.

Theres a New Mexico but there is a regular Mexico. Theres a New England but there was a regular England too. So why no Jersey??

Now I know the names in english too. I am not sure that I knew of the lesser antilles.
Felix turned to the west/north-west just before curacao, we just got heavy rains and winds.

using the library is not considering cheating.
the internet is considered on big library, it only makes it so much easier to find things now. before you really needed to put some more effort in your research, and asking around is not cheating neither.

bubba the reason why is that if that was the first time they sanctioned, or if they didn't bowl the winter league, their first sanctioning is for the whole year, then it becomes just seasonal.

also, if the summer league went past August 1st could be the reason the cards were for 2008-2009.

Ah,young Grasshopper, but there was a Jersey. And a York, too. Where do you think New York came from??? Merry old England, that's where. Check a map of NJ,NY and PA and check out all the towns that start with "New". All settled by people from the town of the same name back in Europe.

As for Bubba's question,I had to go to the USBC for the answer. And it's a doozy. They were all out of '07-'08 cards so they sent '08-'09 cards instead. Seems they got left behind in the move to Texas.

Class dismissed.:) Idle's the milk monitor for lunch and I have first pick on the playground when we choose up teams.:p
