when i am bowling I tend to rarley look to the boards down the lanes just area around boards with my aproach I use boards for my feet.

Is this the right way to stay accurate or do I learn the boards?

Thanks

not all lanes have the range finders on the 15 and 10 boards 40 ft down the lane so I dont use those for targeting. Left foot goes on a specific board on the approach and I throw over ( attempt to ) a given board at the arrows. Before league starts, I take a few practice approaches to check my slide and drift. I dont always walk straight, I drift a few boards to the right. So at the end of my slide I look down to see where my left foot stops. if it's more than three boards of where I started, I go back and getting my first two steps going straighter.

hope this helps....

I'm at a specific board with my feet, then make a path to the pocket, from a board at the arrows to a board for my breakpoint.

Yes, its where your ball stops moving to the right and starts making its turn or getting into its roll towards the pocket.

I generally focus on the arrows during my approach. When I need the ball to roll earlier, I will move my eyes from the arrows to the dots just beyond the foul line. When I need more skid I will look slightly past the arrows.

I hope that helps...

What it does is if you look farther downlane it will cause you to project the ball further down the lane than you would looking at the arrows hence causing the ball to go longer downlane before making its move, if you look at the dots it will cause you to get the ball on the lane earlier than you would if you looked at the arrows, this will in turn cause your ball to pick up its roll earlier.
