Is there anyone out there that made one for a fraction of the cost of buying one made for bowling?
Would like to have something here but don't want to spend over $200 for one. (can't afford that)

The Donkee and Vertex are just over $200, from what I've heard they work quite well.
There are some video's on youtube that show how to make them.

Might have to watch ebay for used one in that price range...
Think we just had a member offer one up for sell around the $150 range.
Mine cost me around $375.
Honestly, I'd recommend getting a new one with warranty. You'll get your moneys worth out of it. We spend over $200 on one new bowling ball...
so spending $200-250 getting a good spinner is pretty reasonable, IMO.
Make sure you set aside a few bucks to get some sanding, polishing supplies and a container to place the spinner while you work. It can get messy.

I agree but now is not the time to spend almost $300 on a spinner.. I may be in the market for a new ball. Just getting back into bowling. Have not been on a league since 2000. My Hammer 3D offset just will not hook like it used to. I washed it with a hot water and dawn. I have also bought some Powerhouse cleaner and such.. After working on the ball if she will not react the way I am used to then I will replace it with a new heavy oil hard hooking ball. My other two balls are doing just fine on light to med oil.

You might wait for a while on the spinner... the only spinner for a $100 are probably gonna be in pretty poor condition or broke. Then again I could be wrong and you might get lucky.
As far the 3D Offset not hooking, maybe it needs a Hook Again Treatment and resurface. Even then it may take a surface adjustment to get the results you are looking for, like it has been stated... the lane conditioner, lane cleaner and machine have changed since 2000.
If the ball has track wear, then that the problem... resurface it before you spend a dime on anything else. It could be the ball is burning up all of it energy in the front part of the lanes.

Yea at the prices of them I will be waiting.. I have a pretty good pro shop. If I take my cleaners and pads in there they will let me use there spinner. But would like to have one here later on.
I have 180 to 4000 abralon pads on the way
ALso have Powerhouse Energizer ball cleaner that came in today and have there Power wash and Clean N Dull on the way also.
When I gave it a bath there was a goo bit of oil that I noticed that came out of the ball. As far as the track. NOPE it's fine.
New balls are different along with the oil pattern. Nothing different from the old Urithane Ball days to the Reactive balls...

Search you tube, I saw 3-4 video's of home made spinners.
Kinda janky, but gets the job done I guess?
