After shooting 717 (first 700 of the league), I went in last night and everyone was asking if I was going to do it again. My first game was a 223 with an open in the 10th (chopped a multi-pin spare). So I started thinking "a decent 600 wouldn't be bad". First frame second game I left a 10 pin, spared it. Second frame I struck, third frame I left a solid 9 and spared it. At that time my teammate said "it doesn't look like you will be getting a 700 tonight." My comment was "The night isn't over." I posted the next 9 in a row for a 270. Then the carry down took over and I fought the shot the entire last game and choked out a 209 (2 splits) for a 702.
The nine in a row is the most I have had with the Venom, and the 270 is my highest game with it. And I will never complain with back-to-back 700s when I only bowl 3 games a week with no practice.
