Mine was off a few weeks ago before taking some coaching lessons and switching from, 4 steps to five, it get me in a smoother more natural motion while keeping everything in tempo and with proper timing..

though, if I were you I would go to practice and just slow your self down, and focus on getting everything flowing correctly with your form.

you dont need a lane approach to practice timing, kitchen floors work for me.
video camera yourself and see what you look like. Concentrate on coordination of the push away and the first step.

See if that helps any......

I agree...you can usually find me walking and gliding around the kitchen from time to time.

I have done this too...not all the time, but it does help me sometime. Sometimes I just take a week off from bowling...no pre-bowling...no practice...no nothing. I'll get a sub in my leagues and come back the following week and see what happens. Like I said...I don't do it all the time because it can put the team in a bad spot...but sometimes you just need a break in routine.

I just move while I'm set up for the shot. I swing my arm a bit in tempo and might bob a bit, but it keeps me regulated.
