Psycho Cracking

Has anyone heard anything on the Psycho coverstock cracking..My friend has one that is a couple months old with about 30-40 games on it and it cracked last night during league play..ball kept in a locker at the lanes...

i haven't heard anything about any Psycho's cracking, but i would suggest having your friend show it to someone at the bowling center and also to the person who drilled the ball. they may be able to help him get it replaced.

I work there also and have seen it....it cracked no where near finger and thumb holes..I'm gonna call our supplier and see what they say...I was just wondering if anyone else had heard anything

There are no reported problems that I know of with the Psycho cracking . If he sentr his registration it should still be under warranty.

I wonder what causes cracking. Is it utterly individual to each ball or is there an underlying link across many of the occurences.

Glad he got it replaced.. I almost bought one of them today but decided not to and to just have the Sauce and Vibe drilled.. I bought a new spare ball instead of the Psycho.. LOL Yes I bought 3 balls today.. :eek: Spare ball is on order.. Sauce came in Wednesday and the Vibe was in stock..

Starting to like Sauce quite a bit, but that Psycho is really sick! ;)

Either way Slayer you have a nice combo. Don't worry about what you don't have just yet. I'd be surprised if Hammer does not have something waiting in wings for us. (My guess is by Feb. at the latest, maybe even a Christmas surprise.)

I am not saying I will not have one just not right now.. LOL I need to see where I am at with the other two balls.

Is it a continuous arc on heavy oil or med oil? I will end up with one more ball I am sure of that just not sure which one at the moment.

Yeah it was truly a NO HASSLE replacement for it..Shipping it out to them on Monday..Look for the replacement to hit the house Wednesday...The few times I have thrown his Psycho<before it cracked> it is an AWESOME ball...It works very well on every condotion ..I will own one soon myself

Pinslayer , my Psycho is drilled Pin under fingers and Cg kicked to the right. This ball is a strong continuous arc in Med to Heavy oil. I have shot 2 300's and an 825 series with it within 1 month and a half.

I would like to get something else but it will wait for about a month or so before I figure out what..

I will start my first league since 2000 on Dec 7th.. (Sunday league)

I tried the Pyscho and didn't like it but lots of people did, it seems I don't get along too well with the Raw balls unless I use them on light oil, unless I take the covers on them down, never had problems making balls move but with both the Pyscho and the Anger I had this problem.

But on the contrary, lots of people loved the ball, most of them dont throw that hard and have hand, I have lots of speed, a ton of revs but lots of speed.

maybe your driller drilled them messed up? i have seen a guy throwing a psycho with the most revs ive ever seen and about 30 mph and still get a nice curve.. idk maybe its just you i havent seen you bowl.. I throw a psycho and since getting it my average has increased 25 pins. So maybe just not the best ball for your style.

just to keep you all informed on the psycho cracking...Supplier ended up shipping a new ball to me before I got the cracked one to them...I was shocked by this because I was told it would not ship until they recieved the old one..Thanks to our supplier and to Hammer..."If you want to drive it down grab a HAMMER!!!"

I throw a psycho and since getting it my average has increased 25 pins. So maybe just not the best ball for your style.

I know its not me, I can throw any other ball and score and have thrown an honor score with every other company except the new ones (900, AMF's, Visonary, stuff like that), and neither of these 2 balls have worked anywhere close to how they should, the carry with them was horrible when I did hit the pocket. And the one I threw was drilled by a Hammer staffer so wasnt him either, you havent seen me bowl, Im 17, 450-5 rpms, 220 average, so really I dont think its me, I've thrown bigger scores with my BWC than those literally had 280 with it. Love little kids that have 1 good day and think they know more than the ones doing this for a looong time.


As for the subject at hand, really glad it gone done the right way and that things worked out for you, enjoy the new piece.
