Here are the Quotes:

I have a Sauce on order. Should be here by wednesday. Just need to figure out on the drilling.. Standard or Strong. I am leaning on to the strong because my 3D was perfect back in the day and had a strong drill.

I don't really get into much on specs of drilling I tell Herman what I want the ball to do and put my trust in him since he knows how I bowl. So far he has not drilled be a bad ball yet..... Hope he never does.. LOL

15-3 and back that's what I like to hear.. Is yours drilled standard?

Hummmm I am really starting to rethink the drilling and go with the Standard over the strong.. I don't want to put the ball up after the first game.. LOL If the lane is too slick I can always move right. I don't like to move too far left. I don't like to throw mo farther left of the 3 rd arrow from the right.

I was going to go with a more aggressive layout buut decided opn the standard after watch a fellow Staffer throw his with the standard layout and saw how strong his was

or you can branch out and learn how to play deeper, but y would anyone want to do that.

Its more of being in his comfort zone for when hes first coming back to bowling, he wants to play close to where he used to play when he bowled before and then once he gets his game back in check he can move around. This is what I'm getting from it atleast, but I do agree with you versatility is where its at, but when first coming back getting comfy and confident is big.

Bubba, I would think on any ball... having the Pin to PAP and 3 3/4" like you have is a strong drill. (Even the Sauce drillsheet states this a strong drill.) It's practically leverage. Heck some nights is maybe leverage.

Yerp, It's drilled with the standard layout. Once I get setteled in my new apartment and find my camera, I'll get a pic for you.

I play deep all the time.. OOPS wait a minute that is with the wife :D :D

I can play deep also but right now I don't have a ball I can do that with unless I slow way down. I used to with my hammer and my LT-48 But neither ball reacts they way they used to.. Bottom line my equipment is out dated and needs replaced... Because my Hammer was my heavy oil ball and does not preform well I need to replace it first.. My other two balls can wait as they will do OK for the most part if I slow my ball speed down.

Next on my list is a BWP...

I am fine with palying any line. Yes we all have our standard lines but I can change to a deep line if I need to no problems.. I just don't have the balls to do it. (no pun intended) LOL

I don't like to throw left of the 3rd arrow on fresh oil. If I do then it will not be long and I will be standing in line with the arrow on the far left..

My next ball I think will be a BWP..

I'd consider a Psycho or Emerald Vibe. Both will be strong to make it back from inside lines and will give broader range between the balls.

The Psycho will not be quite as long, as the EV, but it has more overall hook.

I am not so sure about the Vibe... But would consider the Psycho...
Herman has on sitting on the shelf I may see what kind of deal I can get on it if I buy it when he drills the Sauce..

There $96 on Bowlingballs.com (plus shipping then drilling)

The Vibe will outhook anything you own, except the Sauce of course.

The Vibe is very underrated.

The EV will give the most length of the two... so you'd have the Arcing and Skid-Flip covered.

Well I don't own the Sauce yet.. LOL I put a $100 deposit on it so he would order it and will pay the rest when he drills it.

I just watched this Video
http://videoballreviews.com/emeraldvibe.html

I am thinking he had one on the shelf. Or maybe it was a cherry Vibe. I don't remember off hand.. Good point on the Skid FLip.. My LT is that ball now but as we know it needs replaced.

Looks like it's the Sauce for heavy oil the BWP or the Psyho for med to med heavy oil and the Vibe for Dry to med oil.. (leaning more towards the BWP) Even the Venom would be a good Med oil ball.. IMO....

These 3 should do just fine replacing the 3 I have now..
I would like to replace my spare ball as it has seen better days. Even with the battle scars it sitll does it's job..

It really depends on what you prefer in your ball motion. If you like a little earlier roll than go with the Psycho for your med oil ball and then the EV for light. If you like a little length then the Venom would be better. I had my Sauce drilled a little weaker so I could still throw it right of 15 if needed.

Everything I've drilled this year has been drilled pretty weak.

Bite 5 1/2" PtoP
Psycho 5" PtoP
Sauce 5 1/2 (3/4)" PtoP

The covers are so strong today that unless your shooting on a totally flooded condition, you won't need anything that strong to often.

The EV is a very agressive compaired to the CV. The CV is a more arc type with a backend pop that is suprising.

The EV adds 2-3 more feet in length compaird to the CV but has a very agressive back end. This I have used on fairly heavy oil and had no problems

The Psycho is a strong arcing ball with a continuoous strong back end that doesn.t quit. Use this on Med to heavy when you need a ball that reads the midlane .

The Sauce is deffinately the ball for heavy oil. This is the strongest heavy oil ball Hammer has made to date. It needs oil because on light to med off the bounce it just goes dead left unless you can play deep ionto the oil and swing it out. A must ball to have

Thats some good information.. See that is what I hate about the shelf talkers. By looking at this the EV is not a ball I would consider buying.

But after watching some videos on it I would not think twice about putting one in the bad for light to med oil.
