ok so im looking to get a new ball looking at the cherry vibe and the storm dimension. i know that the dimension wil hook more out of the box but if i were to polish it would it be closer to the vibe? any help is appreciated

If you want a little more back end the Emerald Vibe would be good over the Cherry.. I just bought one last Thursday. WIth my ball speed and rev rate it's a good down and in ball for heavy oil and I can throw more of a hook on light oil... I am think I should have went with the Venom over the Vibe but I still like it.

Viking, Why would you buy a ball to make it like another ball. What are you lookng for the new ball to do ? If you are wanting the CV buy it for what it is for and designed to do. Not buy a different brand ball and expect it to be alike a CV. It's not going to happen. I agree with PiunSlayer on the EV though. The EV gets down the lane more than the CV but has a harder backend than the CV.

IMO there is no possible way for you to get the dimension to react like the vibe, if u want it to react like the vibe, spend less money and get the vibe, but if u want a VERY good heavy oil ball, get the dimension.

I reckon Viking was looking for a ball a little stronger than the CV, hence the question about polishing the Dimension. Pinslayer buying his Venom looks to have been his answer to a similar question.

Quite frankly I cannot understand why anyone would buy a scented ball ("Fruit Punch" in the Dimensions case) but each to their own I guess.

What does the scent of a ball have to do with anything? Isn't the Venom scented as well? If the ball rolls well and does what I need it to do, I don't care if it smells like cherries or dog crap.

The Venom is not scented. Hammer does not put a scent in any of their coverstocks.

To answer your original question....No polishing the Dimension will not bring it closer to the Vibe. The Dimension is much stronger and polish wont even get you close to the length of the Vibe.
