redemption!!

Hey folks. I just wanted to follow up to my posts from about 3 weeks ago. I was having big time consisttency, ball and scoring issues with THS. To recap, the lanes I bowl on have been very dry from the gutter to the 10 board and I was unable to consistently throw strikes. Anyway, the very next week, they made a change. More oil on the outside. I was able to throw a nice 633 series. I took the next week off, begrudgingly (Halloween) and did some practicing. During practice, I use a number of balls to see what ball matches up. Anyway, I just decided to use my Avalanche (as opposed to the Twisted Fury or Fury Pearl--sorry Hammer guys). Anyway, I changed my line, throwing the Avalanche down 7-8 with a break at about 5. First game with it 297. Later in the week, 279. Fast forward to league night on Friday. Standing on 21 I started throwing over 8. Great match--first game 243. Good start. In the second, I get the first 11. On the 12th ball, i was shaking so much, I'm surprised I was able to keep it on the lane--unfortunately, I left a 7 pin. Still a great 299. Best game so far. The third game I make a proactive 2 and 1 move and threw a another solid 244 for a total of 786--besting my previous high series by a whopping 63 pins. The Avalanche was superb. I hope I can keep it up.

In other news, I used my Darton Avalanche (bow) to take down a very nice 7pt Pa buck the next morning. What a weekend for the Avalanche!!!!!!!!!!!!
