I went to my highschool alley which is like 30 minutes away just to toss a few.. I saw some signs in the pro shop and they are having winter sales like crazyy! they are already the lowest priced place i know of (Acid is $145 NIB. Not on sale!) now not all of the balls are on sale, but they have the MAxxx Zone for 158, the Cell pearl for 158, the Perfect rival for 158, black widow pearl 158, virtual gravity 188, columbia momentum swing 188.. A few more i cant remember.. after kegel and my resurface of the Psycho.. I might just have to get me one.. ;) any suggestions on which one out of the $158 balls i should get if i do get one? got $200 eating a hole in my wallet and i will use about 10-20 on food at kegel.. so i was wondering if anyone would like to help me choose on a possible ball to compliment my Virtual Gravity and Psycho.. i cant say my revs or speed or any of that because at kegel that could all change depending on what they help improve/fix..

Definately Cell Pearl, I love mine so much, it goes long and turns the corner very hard. It will give you more length than your Pyscho with less midlane read and will pack a punch on the backend. It would fit right between your Pyscho and VG. Cant beat it for 158$ thats a very good deal.

yeah i was pretty much already leaning toward it.. seen some great reviews/videos =P looks nice and strong in the back, but smoother than most pearls which tend to be flippy.. sounds like a winner =P it all depends how my style changes after kegel and if i still feel like wasting all my money, alos depends if i end up just getting a brand new pyscho cuz of all the junk that house has done to it.. if i dont and just re-surface then possibly the cell pearl =) not the widow pearl just because honestly that ball doesnt look to fit in with the other i named on the $158 list.. but i could be wrong..

i'll second Idle's choice of the Cell Pearl with what you already have. would like to try one myself someday soon.

Well, I'm gunna say go with the Maxxx Zone because I love it, but I've never thrown or seen the Cell Pearl in action, but my personal choice would be the Maxxx Zone.

I definately wouldnt get the widow pearl, wouldnt fit well with the equipment you have, a lot of people didnt like that ball especially without the surface to 2000, it wouldnt fit well between those 2 so I would definately cross that one off, not going to be 1/4 as strong as the Cell Pearl, the ball is the strongest pearl on the market right now by far. Plus this ball looks awesome! Prettiest looking ball I've ever seen/thrown.

yeah. idle makes a good point.. idk if the maxxx would fit well or the perfect rival.. so i am leaning towards cell pearl.. but i might not even get anything.. depends how the camp goes.. =p

lol id say a ball $100 under market price is a good sale? especially without any discounts added.. lol.. the virtual is like market price $270 and its sold for 190.. tell me that isnt a great sale? PLUS it includes drilling, plugs, and a slug if u want that.. also free resurfacing for life on that ball.. now $158 for a few of those balls isnt amazing, but the cell pearl is the best pearl from what ive heard and its $158.. sounds good to me.. what do u consider a sale?

msrp is bs anyways. any retailer selling a ball for 270 should be shot if you ask me.
well considering my pro shop sells the cell pearl for 140 and the acid for 120 with slugs, grips, and drill. the virtual has the virtual for 170 or 180 i believe
while im in school ive looked at other pro shops around here, one is still selling the bwp for 200+. i will never do business with him. ever.

Yea unless that place has an amazing customer base where they do TONS of balls every week, I really dont expect them to be open too long.

yeah, this place is the cheapest i know in central florida and they are my go-to drillers.. they arent the cheapest in the US but cheap enough.. my home pro shop asks for like 165 for raw hammer line.. and that place is 145 for raw hammers... lol $20 could buy some acessories or go towards new shoes =)

Yea I know what you mean. I used to go to a cheap driller, would basically do anything for not much $ but some of the stuff felt a bit different here and there. Went to a new guy who is a Hammer staffer, a little more $ but is SOOOOO worth it to get the great advise and great job he does on the stuff, everything feels great and exactly the same feel. Its worth the $ to get the job done right IMO.

So he doesnt think his time or knowledge of drilling a ball is worth anything?
I guess you get what you pay for.

I dont live by him so I really dont know, but I totally agree with what your saying, the guys basically doing something for nothing and I have learned to say no to really cheap drillers, not worth all the troubles.

must be nice i guess,
I know my venom is going to be 175 after drilling and slugs and everything.
But i also know that if i order from online its going to be 110.00 plus 20 dollars shipping plus 60 for drilling slugs and everything.
Ends up being just a bit cheaper to buy from my pro shop and i support local business.

I think I kow the one idle is refering to and he does have his regular customer base. One guy who gets his stuf done but's everything new out there and when he gets them back his stuff is all basically the same drill . This is the same guy I adjusted his coverstock on one ball and he was amazed on how it reacted. It did what he was looking for the ball to do in the beginning .He told me I thought when you sand a ball it will automaticaly hook more. Doesn't have a clue.

:D How did I know. BTW idle, this Acid might be worth for you to take a look at. I know the other Raw line ballsa didn't match up with you but this Acid seems to be different for some reason. I have been throwing it and haven't had under 738 yet with it.

lol not my favorite person in the world so easy to know who I mean :)...... Would be pretty hard to talk me into getting one, like you said have thrown a few and just not matched up with them, you liked/matched up with all of them. Nice Shooting, what kind of look is it giving you down there?

It all depends on what Line I am playing. I usually play my normal 20-10 the first game. As the second game advances through, I can go 15-4 with knowing it is going to recover, and recover it did. The third game when they fully transistioned I played deep inside. For instance, Last night the third game I played 20 -17 destroyed the place. It gave me the push all 3rd game. That' is how versitale the ball is.

Has to have pretty good recovery to play that far out with the breakpoint at SS. I'm honestly pretty happy with my arsenal right now after adding the CP and the Raid, need to get something like a Razyr for dry/spares then will be set.
