I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how this ball works on spotty conditions that produce a lot of under/over reactions.

League is getting rediculous. One week everything is great and the next week its horribly dry. I was thinking about getting this ball and possibly getting a strong drill since its a weaker ball.

What do you think about this

On over/under conditions especially with carrydown the ball would be totally useless, on drier conditions it is an awesome ball so if you want to use it for that then I say get it because its great. But on carrydown or over under conditions I would not trust it. Like Sabotage said there is really only 1 way, well actually 2 ways to drill the ball either close to grip center in the right quadrant (assuming your righty), or a Pin on axis drill which is only recommended for VERY high rev rates according to Jeff U. Personally would get a black/red bash if I were you or a 900 Global link, the cores would atleast help the ball if it hit some type of oil it would help it to get through it and carry better. JMO but like I said if its just for the dry then the Razyr would be good, otherwise no.

There isn't many ways to drill a Razyr,. Donot be affraid to get this ball. Like others stated, it's movement is supriing but also it's carry is suprising . I have thrown this ball at PBA Regionals , Fresh lanes and backends, andl also lanes with carrydown. The only thing with carry down you might have to slow the Razyr's balls speed down just a tad. Otherwise you will love this ball.

the Razyr is an amazing ball and very, very underrated. i have mine drilled stacked leverage. works well on most conditions, just squirty on heavy oil but still does a good job. here's a pic, i think.

Could this be more of the type ball I'm looking for...down and in with a smooth, consistent move to the pocket?

To hammeredinkansas, for what it is worth, I personally highly recommend the Razyr. In previous posts I have comment on how I needed such a ball for house conditions. I got the ball 8 weeks ago and have averaged around 206 in four different leagues in two different houses with different lane conditons at each. I havent tried it on really wet conditions so I cant comment. But the nice thing is it is a great ball at a cheap price, and even if it doesnt work for you you arent out a lot. I did forget to mention that is is a nice down and in with a well controleld hook, and as Sabotage commentd. if I get it a little wide of my target, it will come back nicely.

Nope, the guy has a ton of hand at the bottom and a slower ball speed, this ball has a lot of power OOB. I threw my one friend/team mates, and it was hard to keep it on the left hand side playing 15-5 on a medium/heavy THS. Very good THS ball for the high revver.
