View Full Version : You Heard it first... New Hammer Ball!!

Street Racer

Hammer is extremely pleased to announce the extension of our very successful high-performance line – Hot Sauce Pearl!

Hot Sauce Pearl starts with the proven Contrusion core, found in the original Sauce. Core features remain the same with a conical base shape combined with a protrusion offset that gives bowlers a low mass bias, non-symmetric shape for great backend movement without sacrificing control.

Hot Sauce Pearl also features our next coverstock in the Aggressive Edge family of coverstocks.

The NEW Skid/Flip Aggressive Edge cover clears the front of the lane and recovers in the backend like no other cover in the Hammer line. This gives the bowler more room at the breakpoint, and a wider target to hit down-lane.
Our new look at high-performance ball motion is enhanced even further by the Hot Sauce Pearl!

Well I did like the look of the specs and that it was more of a smooth sid/flip ball, but sorry boys I will not throw a ball with colors like that lol.:D Does look like a very nice ball though. Seems like it will be a ball to move to when the Sauce is too much.

Colors do not make scores or ball reaction. Everyone said when they first saw pictures of the Acid it looks like a pink ladies ball  . Well to everyones suprise it looks like a Raw Doom :p . The ball could be Pink and lime green for all I care :D . As long as it preforms color doesn't matter I'll throw it:)

I agree - +1 from me ;) It could be a pink and purple ball - so long as it works.

My (faball) Nasty Nail from a while back had a pink thumb slug and green fingertip grips (matched the original lettering on the ball), but it never worked that well for me - it was a confident as a chicken at a fox convention :(

Yes but it looks prettier when theres a nice colorful ball knocking the pins down, so ha!:p Wow theres something wrong with me, I just called a bowling ball pretty...again..

Anywho, looks like a pretty good ball, will be interesting to see how it works.

Jim do you have yours yet?

So if I brought my sauce down to 200 it would basically be this ball

I don't give a crap what it looks like either. I hate it when people just judge balls by their color. I put a pink slug im my Razyr because it looks hilarious.

No, not even close actually, this ball has a pearl coverstock, your ball has a solid coverstock.

It just going to go longer than the Sauce with a more agressive (snappier) backend.

To a select few yes, pink and purple mixed with black or whatever that is just doesnt seem to mix right, wont be tossing this one. Wont be buying any more balls for a while anyway.

to strong in my opinion... if you got hand and the oil isnt stacked heavy, no point in using it...

Agreed...The cover/core combo just doesn't match up very well. I have not found a pattern that I could use this ball on and not fight to get it cleanly to the spot and still hit well.

There are allot of balls designed as "hook in a box" and meant to help bowlers hook the ball. This ball is definitely one of those. Assuming there is enough oil to keep it from burning up.

The video is up for the Hot Sauce on the main page, ball looks a lot better than the original Sauce, nicer look and a lot more hitting power.

Bet your very surprised by the CP, just a word of warning, dont make a judgement on the ball until you have some games on it, like 5 or 6 then make the judgement on it. For me it was way too much when I first threw it but after 5 or 6 games it tamed itself down and worked awesome.

This almost seems like it's worth waiting for! I was going to grab a venom but the length and backend action on the Hot Sauce is just incredible. Seems like this is a souped up version of the venom...no?

I'll third this. Of course on the Shark pattern The Sauce is great. But on your typical house shots its too much ball.

No....The Venom should be much longer.

Best pattern for that ball for me was the Scorpion. The Shark pattern is long but doesnt have enough volume to use for more than a game maybe game 1/2

You think it will be much longer? The two look so close on videos...Obviously watching the videos doesn't make a perfect comparison...maybe we could get Jeff to make one!! Jeff? Are you listening? ;)

I must be a bowling moron because I can't tell any difference from the Sauce to the Hot Sauce. I'm obviously not a bowling god like most of the people here but I just don't see it.

Yeah, I know, blasphemy. I'm supposed to say "OMG! What an awesome ball. Best ever", but I don't see any difference. Don't get me wrong, I love my BWS and I'd love to have another Hammer ball but I rarely, if ever, see a difference with these videos. Guess I'm just a bowling misfit.

But I will agree that Jeff throws an awesome shot. :)

30 i actually dont see that much of a difference either but i bet the difference would come in on a challenging shot. house shots dont show the differences between balls very well and you can see a bigger more prominent difference when you bowling something like a pba or sport shot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't see a difference, but I'm sure Pain is right...the big diff must be in how they handle the tough shots.

I saw a difference, the Pearl was smoother, where as the Sauce looked a bit jumpy in my book, you can see it more in the 2nd drilling shown, the Pearl also looked a bit longer.

i am just going to say one thing...

another skid/flip bowling ball...

and also another thing was said on ballreviews.com

this ball isnt on the usbc approved list?

so i checked it out and i cant find it anywhere... unless this is the secret sauce renamed?

skid/flip--- early roll---- strong arc------------- aren't all the companies just releasing the same stuff then?

The Hot Sauce will be much more angular than the Venom.

i would rather control then flip:)

i chucked a the sauce with NIB finish and it still flipped for me...

why i really am not thinking of buying any new gear from any companies

but on saying that the acid looks good
