there may be a problem with the top weight or side weight of your ball

When does it seem the BWS is rolling over the thumb hole? Does it seem as the ball makes the turn or does it roll over it right off your hand. Also is your track normally close to the thumb hole on your other ball? Does the ball have a weight hole in it? I know these sound like alot of questions but there are a few things that will cause this.

If you were close to the hole before and you throw a ball that flares alot more its gonna go right over the thumb. Also if the PAP is not properly correct and way off it could have a definite effect on the ball roll .

If the thumb in the BWS is alittle snug than the NV you may be coming out of it different . This will also change the roll of the ball and possible make it flare over the thumb.

Pretty much what Bubba said, make sure you're coming out of the ball clean and not hanging up at all. If there's anything not right about the feel of the ball, get it fixed and see if that helps. Mine will roll over the thumb if I hang up and don't get out of it clean.

make sure its not flaring over a finger hole or weight hole. To have one ball clip the thumb and not the other would be odd unless the drilling are very different

thanks for all the suggestions
i do have a weight hole in my nv and not in the solid, but lately i have been barely/not going over the thumb hole as much, also it seems to keep the hook in it
the ball if it does go over the thumb hole, does it in the backend

If the ball is thumping in the backend its not hitting the thumb hole. If its hitting the thumb hole, it will do it immediately in the first 15 feet.
