Try polishing the Sauce first, should make it go a little longer for you and get the length you need, would try this before going to another ball.

does it have a balance hole in it?

cause if it doesnt.. get your driller to stick in a flare decreasing hole?

polish it first and if that doesnt help... try the weight hole

Default Sauce

Everyone including me has had this problem, most Bowling Centers do not put enough oil down for the sauce and it burns up early and then wont come back. Either save it for the soup or do what I did and have it taken to 1000 and then polished, it will store the energy for the backend.

Don't know how many games you have on the ball, but it doesn't matter much. Give it bath (Scuff it before if you want), then get polished. Before they polish it have them give it a refresh sanding, not much taken off... just get the surface looking good and polish it. Mine was a beast at 4000 w/ Polish.

Honestly mine was polished, right now I've got it dull waiting for a heavy or longer shot... hopefully PBA Experience this summer might work out.

If you want to polish it's pretty impressive. What kinda of revs do you have?

yeah this guy bought the sauce in my thursday night league. we bowl with wooden lanes and it breaks down extremely fast. this ahole is crying about the hook rating being 57 or something. "this ball is supposed to hook" while showing his little print out. what a tool he is, he doesnt take anything else into consideration. its either "this ball sucks" "the lanes suck"

its getting so annoying

Not to thread hijack but any bowler who does this is annoying, that's why in bowling we all of to learn to adjust! I have a group of guys in both my leagues (same guys) who do nothing but complain about the lanes or complain about how the house doesn't do anything for the bowlers or blah blah blah, It's very annoying listening to the same thing from week to week /rant sorry OP for the off topic.

Default The Sauce

Just bought "the sauce" Saturday, had it drilled and rolled a 248 and a 232. Went back Sunday and ended up rolling a 278 in the dark with the strobe lights on. 2 spares to start and struck out.

I would say that when you are hitting the backside you need to either throw it a little faster or maybe your getting it to far outside.

When it's not coming back enough try getting it out more where the lanes are a little dryer. Or throw it a little slower.

You should have at least two different releases, a strong and a weak grip to help on nights like this. A lot of the time you can adjust without moving your line.

Another option is get a different ball for nights when it's so oily you want all the hook you can get.
