Default cherry vibe vs bwp

i know they're different caliber balls. last week i played around with my friend's bwp and it was breaking a little earlier than i'd want and hitting the pins early. from what i can see on these forums it appears the general consenus is that the cherry vibe goes longer than the bwp. would it be same to assume that the cherry breaks later than the bwp?

can someone clarify what "goes longer" and "stronger backend" mean? n00b here

Longer does mean breaks later.
Stronger backend would mean it has a stronger reaction on the backend.

As for the difference of these two balls. I own the BWP and not the CV. So, I'll leave that to someone who owns both of them.

if you get Vibe drilled strong I think it could match up to a BWP fairly well.

And how was that BWP drilled that you tried? If that BWP was drilled strong it probably will break early especially on med oil.

The Vibe does break later than BWP, part of the reason is that it is lower preformance, it will tend to skid alot more than BWP will.

Here's what will decide what ball to get if you are wondering

1) how you play (if you start way left and need a ball to hold a line, get the Vibe)
2) shape of shot you're going for
3) amount of hook
4) your budget (BWP is significantly more than Vibe.)

My CV goes longer and hooks harder than my BWP. Here is how they are drilled

It really depends on the drilling both of these balls have patterns to make them go longer.Out of the box I think the CV goes longer than the BWP.
Watch these videos study the drilling patters and then look at the pattern they are throwing on and see the differences in the drillings and their reactions.

Never threw the CV, but hear it's a great ball. I have both BWs, but think the BWP may be the best ball I've ever owned. Now, you all go ahead and debate this...I'm watching Pale Rider and it's close to the climax. Gotta love Clint's westerns! I'll get back to you guys later.

"Goes Longer" is just what it sounds like. The ball goes longer down the lane before it hooks. Numerous factors affect how "Long" a ball will go.
"Stronger Backend" means that the ball will hook hard and fast. A strong backend ball will make up for a small boo-boo you make on the front end.
As far as a Cherry Vibe vs a Black Widow Pearl, all I'm gonna say is that after throwing both balls, the Widow is "longer and stronger." As far as which ball I would plunk my hard earned cash on,I ve got a BWS and a BWP in the bag. I can't find ANYWHERE I can't throw this ball and score. Dry,flood or anything in between, the Pearl just keeps getting the job done.
