For me it's called a pen and a piece of paper. Works everytime and never crashes.

Ha Ha very funny!!
I'm using that. Just want to enter it into my computer when I get home. I really don't feel like screwing around with excel and make a program.

So basically then for your home computer.

Scores are on the standings sheet. Turn the paper over and use the back for stats. I'm trying to understand how having scores and stats from 6 months ago is going to help me tonight. I write down the scores for double checking with the league sheet and the "stats" are good for my next practice session, so I know what to work on. After that it's just meaningless information. There comes a point where too much information is a bad thing.

Well, I just started bowling in January, Started bowling league in Febuary. Playing baseball/softball I have always been a stat geek. Just want to track each frame during league to see what I need to do to get better.

You'll might be surprised with the trends you can pick up on if you track your stats well. I don't focus on scores, but mainly spare shooting and pin fall. The spares you leave can tell you a lot about what your ball is doing.

I use this information to plan my practices. For example, I noticed that I was consistently missed the 247. I focused on this during practice sessions and I worked out my problem. Turns out I was opening my shoulder too much and chopping the 47 off the 2. Stat tracking is geek stuff, I know, but it does have a useful purpose.

Nothing wrong with that. I take the back of the league sheet and have a column for strikes, spares-single pin and multi pin, and opens. Anything out of the norm, like leaving the bucket too many times, gets written down on the bottom of the page. Then I refer to it when I practice so I know what I may need to work on. I roll at different houses during the week. Since I'm using the league sheet for that particular house, any trends about those lanes will come to light. At one house if I roll it 10 to 5,it's in the pocket. Two nights later at a different house,10 to 5 would be too high. I use the notes to remind me to move inside for a 15 to 7 shot.
